When Ireland Starved

When Ireland Starved is the widely acclaimed Radharc/RTE four part documentary on the Irish Famine which explores ways in which government policies led to widespread poverty and – ultimately - starvation in Ireland .  Previously aired on PBS, When Ireland Starved is specifically referenced in Illinois State Board of Education’s Illinois Learning Standards section (Irish Famine Studies: Section 27.20.6)
